HUBER SE, based in Berching/Germany, is a globally operating company in the field of water treatment, wastewater treatment and sludge treatment. With over 55,000 plants installed, HUBER is one of the most important companies in the world, contributing to solving the global water problem with customised processes. By using the highly developed 3D clamping system from DEMMELER, HUBER SE is optimising its production processes and significantly reducing set-up times.
If the component becomes even larger than this, the work surface can be easily extended with the system parts. This is because the 3D clamping system adapts to the size and shape of a wide variety of workpieces.
Efficient manufacturing solution for the highest demands
Operating under the HUBER name since 1872, the family-owned company has a state-of-the-art production facility at its headquarters, where the latest design and manufacturing technology is used to produce high-quality products for the global market. Machines, systems and equipment made of stainless steel for the treatment of water, waste water, process water, sand and sludge are produced at more than 100 individual welding workstations. Around seven years ago, HUBER SE began equipping welding workstations with the 3D welding table and clamping system from DEMMELER. Thanks to the intelligent system grid, the extensive range of accessories for flexible conversion to a wide variety of individual assemblies and extreme durability, the DEMMELER 3D welding tables have become an integral part of production at HUBER SE. This is because short lead and throughput times are crucial for economic efficiency in welding and, thanks to the modular system, a clamping device can be set up for almost any workpiece in record time.
By using the highly developed 3D clamping system from DEMMELER, HUBER SE is optimising its production processes and significantly reducing set-up times.
Welding is a core competence at Huber SE. The company attaches great importance to weld seam quality and dimensional accuracy. The specialists rely on the quality of DEMMELER welding accessories.
Production area grows to 44,000 m²
In addition to the growth in the market, the HUBER machines to be manufactured are also getting bigger and bigger. This is largely due to the continuous opening up of further product segments and the development of new processes and procedures in water treatment. For this reason, the new production hall P3 in Berching, which was inaugurated last year, increased the production area to 44,000 m² and is mainly used as a hall for structural and welding work. Compact complete plants are tack-welded and final welded to a 36 metre long DEMMELER base rail system. By using the sliding system, the component groups are more accessible and even large or unwieldy workpieces can be processed safely and easily.

The rail system is also used for the installation of coarse crushing plants: The track width can be flexibly adjusted to different component widths from 1 to 2.5 metres.
Manipulator Ergonomix M2000
Ergonomically optimised working
HUBER SE creates a safe and pleasant working environment for its employees. Since it is certified according to ISO 45001, health and safety management at HUBER SE is constantly being improved. Thanks to the Ergonomix M® manipulator from DEMMELER, the welding and assembly station can be quickly and continuously adjusted in height and swivelled by up to 180°. For example, even large or unwieldy workpieces can be processed safely and easily. At the same time, an ergonomically optimised working environment is created and the physical strain on employees is reduced.
