The DEMMELER trainee excursion
During the apprenticeship team spirit is as important as the interdisciplinary collaboration. Through joint activities during the annual trainee excursion, DEMMELER promotes the getting to know each other and interchange between trainer and trainee.
This year's apprentice excursion led to DECKEL MAHO in Pfronten. The company is one of the world's leading manufacturers of machine tools with integrated technology and automation solutions for lathes and milling machines.
After a warm welcome, the trainees were given a detailed insight into the world of the innovative high-tech company. Then it went on to the factory tour. The production of the various machines in the state-of-the-art assembly halls was experienced first-hand. Our trainees also visited the training center. Finally, it went into the most modern large-scale machine assembly in the world. An impression of the enormous dimensions is provided by the milling machines that are created there, the workpieces up to max. 150 tons with travel distances up to 18,000 x 4,500 x 2,000 mm.
Afterwards the DEMMELER trainees took the chairlift at the Bärenfalle mountain hut for lunch and a comfy get-together in the middle of the Nagelfluhkette Nature Park. Then it was called "get in, buckle up and off you go!". With a lot of fun the Alpen Coaster brought all trainees back to the valley. With many new impressions a beautiful and exciting trainee trip came to an end.
