On May 3rd, 2023, DEMMELER invited the metalworker master class from the Robert Mayer School in Stuttgart to a company tour in Heimertingen. Managing partner Johannes Demmeler opened the visit with a warm welcome. Afterwards, Philipp Raunft, welding engineer at DEMMELER, continued to present the company and the various business areas. During the following tour of the company, the students were able to experience our products live and in practice: Several product innovations that were first developed for our own production are used in our premise every day, such as our 3D clamping system and our manipulator series. Thoroughly tested, we deliver these products to customers worldwide.

After lunch together, the final highlight was the demonstration of the COBOT WeldSpace 4.0® welding cell in our showroom. The high flexibility of the system enables workpieces to be welded automatically in the shortest possible time. In this way, not only series, but also small quantities can be produced economically. Due to the extremely simple operation, no programming knowledge is required. The operator only has to manually move the COBOT to the spot where welding is to take place.

The many questions asked by the participating students and teachers showed that the robot technology increases the is making the welder's job much more attractive again. Young professionals in particular will be more enthusiastic about welding work again.
